WHGC PLANT AND BAKE SALE 2025
Cochairs: Elisabeth Bumiller, Jill Lucas, Ann Swett Volunteers We have assigned everyone a job on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as per your availability. Please get back to us ASAP if your plans have changed and you are no longer available. Thursday April 24: We are gathering at the Overlook pool this year to stage our Annuals delivery and pickup. We have 3 shifts (9:00-12; 12-3; and 3-5). First Shift: 9:00 am-12:00 pm Ann Swett, chair, with Polly, Betsy, Amy, Sharron, Elisabeth, Jill, Anne Boyden, Lisa Ardery, Alison, Mary Ellen, Jessica, Kathy, Tricia and Judy Baker Unpack Van: Polly and Betsy will supervise the unloading of plants from the van to the 5 holding areas, arranged alphabetically. Each of the 5 areas will have a captain who will check off the flat that is delivered to the section, as well as check off plants as teams fill customer orders. Captains: Ann Swett, Amy, Sharron, Elisabeth, Jill Fill Orders: Teams: Anne Boyden and Lisa Ardery; Alison and Mary Ellen; Jessica and Kathy Double check orders: Tricia and Judy Baker Second Shift: 12 pm-3 pm Elisabeth, chair, with Diane August, Kaki, Lisa Oswald, Ginny Complete Orders; Member Pickup (beginning at 1 pm) and Customer Pickup beginning at 2:30. Teams: Diane A and Kaki; Lisa O and Ginny. Double check orders: Elisabeth Third Shift: 3—5 pm Jill, chair, with Lisa Elbert, Anne Kiehl, Lindy, Diane Manning, Margarita (arriving late) Supervise customer pickup; follow up with customer no shows; deliver to customers if necessary. (Pickup ends at 5 pm.) Take overage to Judy Thorner’s house. Friday April 25: Storage Pickup: Camilla, chair Volunteers meet Camilla at the Storage Unit at 5pm. All members will be asked to distribute flyers to neighborhood mail boxes advertising our April 26th Plant & Bake Sale. Flyers and instructions were distributed at the April 8th meeting.
